How Smart Ride O₂ works

Here’s how we use Smart Ride O₂ in our studios to enhance cardio sessions.

Smart Ride O₂ comes equipped in every Smart Fit Method studio. Riders put on their personal oxygen masks before the endurance ride and toggle between the oxygen-rich state and the oxygen-deprived state at set intervals, producing an effect that enhances the body’s ability to uptake oxygen into the cells. 

We’ll discuss the benefits of this incredible protocol after we spend time defining an additional term - EWOT.

What is EWOT? 

You may hear this term used in fitness and longevity spaces, but it isn’t difficult to understand. 

EWOT or exercise with oxygen therapy is a training protocol that enhances the effect of cardiovascular exercise. The protocol combines an oxygen-rich state with an oxygen-deprivation state to create an exercise stimulus that greatly boosts the body's capability of taking in and processing oxygen.

Altitude training has long been accepted in the world of endurance sports as a way to boost natural athletic abilities. It’s the legal version of “doping” in the cycling world, where athletes inject EPO to boost their red blood cell count. Altitude training naturally stimulates production of EPO in the body
